TATTOO  CARE

After getting the perfect tattoo that you’ve been wanting for so long, it’s only natural for you to want to ensure that it looks amazing for the rest of your life.

Think of it this way, you are looking THROUGH the skin at the ink underneath much like a picture in a frame with glass over it. The better you take care of the glass/skin the better the picture/tattoo looks from underneath.

Everyday commercial soaps, which are just a bunch of nasty chemicals mixed with some bad oils that strip your skin of moisture, are going to dry out the skin distorting the artwork underneath. Highly inked skin is more vulnerable to damage and requires extra attention and protection.

At Salt Lake Soaps our aim has always been to produce a very high quality handmade soap from the finest natural ingredients that first and foremost benefit the skin. All of our soaps moisturise and nourish your skin thanks to our Hot Process method which allows us to blend highly beneficial oils and butters into the soap.  Tattooed skin requires more caring ingredients such as Aloe and Mango seed butter to maintain good skin health.

Intense Moisturising Bar – Made specifically for maximum skin treatment with all natural ingredients that will nourish and moisturise your skin, this is a convenient way of ensuring you are moisturising all over when you shower. The added Shea & Cocoa Butters found in all of our soaps plus Mango Seed oil and Aloe Vera will look after all aspects of skin care from repair to high maintenance of dry skin.

Tattoo Care Oil –Whilst there are several things you can do to ensure that your tattoos remain looking fresh, clear and vibrant, many people are now beginning to turn to using essential oils in order to maintain the long-term appearance of their ink. Made from Rosehip, Argan, Jojoba & Grapeseed Oils with Aloe & Glycerin. These ingredients will penetrate the skin easily and will allow the skin to breathe. The healing and health benefits of essential oils and Aloe Vera are well documented, the plant based glycerin attracts moisture to the skin, this clears the skin thus helping making your tattoo more clearly visible and bring out the vibrant colours.
